Primary
Purpose
Following
guidelines of Government White Paper, "Valuing People" (2001), Be Heard
operates with the guiding principles of improving the lives of learning
disabled people in the following ways:
- To be included and recognised in the local
community
- To know their rights as citizens
- To have real chances to be independent
- To have choice in their daily lifestyles
To
realise these goals, Be Heard works proactively, and participates
regularly, in
local and national initiatives to improve the lives of learning
disabled people.
