Partnership with Thames Valley University
Be Heard began working with TVU in the
autumn of 2007, at the start of the new social work course at Thames
Valley University. Alongside TVU staff, Be Heard members
interviewed potential candidates, and spoke with students at length
about their experiences with social workers. Some members
also took a more active teaching role in the course, by giving formal
presentations about particular disabilities. The partnership
was extremely successful, and is being repeated in the 2008-2009
academic year.
